Wolff Care Giver Center

The objective of The Center is to provide caregivers of friends and family members with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias with the resources they need. Through The Center, JFCSNNJ provides both practical and emotional support to people caring for a loved one with dementia. These services include comprehensive support for caregivers in the form of family consultations, counseling, support groups for adult children and spouses, educational workshops, and seminars. Topics covered include coping strategies, long-distance caregiving strategies, care options, home safety, and end of life comfort and care.

This group meets in-person on the second Thursday of the month at 5:30pm.

Children of Holocaust Survivors Second Generation Discussion Group

Share your stories with those who share your history. Connect with others who are part of a legacy that impacts your present-day life and relationships. Professionally facilitated discussions on a variety of topics for those impacted by one of the most traumatic events in history.

This group meets the last Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm.

Bereavement

Bereavement Groups for Widows and Widowers and for Adults Who Have Lost a Parent. Each group gives participants the opportunity to share with others who have experienced a loss, and to gain support and strategies to enhance coping as you navigate this challenging time.

Coping with Aging Parents

Connect with other adult children who are dealing with issues that arise when parents are aging. Gain support and share tips.

This group meets meets virtually once a month on a Monday at 7:00pm. 

Israeli Women’s Support Group

This support group is for women who have relocated to Bergen County from Israel and face a variety of challenges. Providing a safe and warm environment for women to share their feelings, fears, and grapple with problems that result from their transition to a new country.
