Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Northern NJ is NOT an emergency psychiatric service. The staff is not on call to respond to emergencies. The following is a list of contacts that you can call in case of an emergency.

911
Call 911 or go to the Emergency Department if it is a life-threatening emergency. Notify the 911 operator that it is a psychiatric emergency and ask for an officer trained in crisis intervention or trained to assist people experiencing a psychiatric emergency.

Any person having reasonable cause to believe that a child has been abused or neglected has a legal responsibility to report it to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (formerly DYFS). Calls can be made anonymously.
