JFCS to host seminar for Job Seekers

With a low national unemployment rate, the assumption is that everyone can easily land a job. That is not true. Job-seekers and employees often have different needs and making that match is not always easy. There are steps, however, that job seekers can take to give themselves an advantage.

Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Northern New Jersey’s Re-Launch Career Services specializes in helping people with career readiness to maximize their ability to obtain the right job. On February 12th and 19th at Kaplan JCC on the Palisades, JFCS will offer a two-day intensive boot camp for job seekers as well as those currently employed who want to advance their careers and gain a valuable edge over competitors. The seminar will cover resume, cover letters, interview skills, transferable skills, digital presence, effective networking and more. Participants will have a chance to receive feedback and inspiration from other job searchers and career professionals.

A three-person panel of senior recruitment professionals will answer questions on tactics and strategies related to the hiring process. The seminar will present an outstanding opportunity to network with professionals and job seekers with the goal of advancing one’s career search.
