Emergency Financial Assistance

 Emergency Financial Assistance

JFCS's case management services aim to help clients achieve their goals and make informed descions about their lives.

JFCS completes a financial assessment with the client that includes reviewing sources of income, assets, living expenses, debt, etc. If the client is determined to be in need, JFCS can provide emergency financial assistance through private donors and public funding.

JFCS also has access to FEMA funds to provide emergency housing (rental/mortgage) and food assistance to residents in Bergen County who have been impacted financially by COVID-19. Assistance paying utility bills is another form of financial assistance provided as well.

Our financial assistance program is provided as part of a self-sufficiency plan that includes working with other service providers in the community, applying for other forms of assistance and programs, and working with a case manager.
